✨ A Little Vintage, A Little Sacred, Completely One of a Kind
~ Layers of aged metal, sparkling crystal and unexpected touches of gold give this necklace the feeling of a beautifully collected vintage piece.
~ At the center is a soldered bee medallion suspended from a sparkling round cubic zirconia charm holder lobster clasp. The brass rolo style surround has been individually blackened and aged, creating a wonderfully dark, timeworn finish that makes the dimensional golden bee stand out beautifully. The reverse features imagery inspired by a 1565 Swedish coin from the reign of King Erik XIV (1560-1568), adding another layer of Old World history and character to the medallion.
~ A delicate zircon chain dangle falls alongside the medallion, finished with a petite brushed gold plated quatrefoil charm for just the right touch of movement and warm gold.
~ Sacred Heart Milagro - The aged Sacred heart is a Mexican milagro charm, imported from Mexico. Milagro means "miracle" in Spanish, and these traditional devotional charms are associated with prayer, gratitude and giving thanks for blessings or answered prayers. This Sacred Heart milagro has a beautifully imperfect darkened silvery gunmetal patina, giving each charm its own timeworn character. I've accented it with a sparkling patina crystal suspended in front, adding just a touch of light against the aged metal.
~ The necklace itself is made with a substantial silver plated antiqued/burnished silver link chain, finished with a gold plated stainless steel toggle clasp. The mix of silver, aged brass, dark patina and touches of gold gives this entire piece an intentionally collected, old world character.

~ Because the brass and other components have been intensionally aged and patinated by hand, variations and irregularities in the finish are part of the design and give the necklace its distinctive vintage inspired character.
